My name is Ethan Virenque. I have played football since a very young age with the dream of becoming a professional, like any young kid. I started playing for a team at 18, representing my university as a goalkeeper in field football. Being a goalkeeper was intuitive as I was fearless, loved diving, wasn’t afraid of the ball, and always played as a goalkeeper when playing with friends. In March 2024, I played my first futsal match at a very low level. One of my teammates in that game played for BE 79's second team and invited me to a training session. Right after, I trained with the first team. In June, I joined the second team tryouts, where I was scouted and again trained with the first team during pre-season. By September, I had unexpectedly earned the spot of third goalkeeper. I consider my biggest achievement so far making my Eredivisie debut, where I delivered a perfect pass that led to a goal. In the future I hope to play a full game in Eredivisie.
